How to help turn Dartmoor into a Bee Nature Reserve event

Managing your land for bumblebees with Cathy Horsley, Conservation Officer for West Country Buzz.

We all know that bees are important, they pollinate our garden flowers and vegetables and they ensure that wildflowers set seed. And they are disappearing. Some of our wild bees are now extinct and others are in dramatic decline.

This talk will introduce you to bumblebees and conservation, including bumblebee lifecycle and ecology, threats and bumblebee decline, and how to recognize different bumblebee species. Cathy will also talk about which bee friendly flowers you can plant so you can attract more to your land.

As seats are limited, please reserve your place now by emailing donnacox@puna.co.uk
