Wildflower seed collecting workshop

Time: 10am-4pm

Join Helen Dickinson from Bumblebee Conservation Trust and Stephen Porch from The Conservation Volunteers, to learn about native wildflower seed collection and storage. Learn how to harvest, save and store wildflower seed ready for sowing. The day will be split into a morning indoor session and an afternoon outdoor session collecting seeds in the park.

Please bring along a packed lunch and suitable outdoor clothing.

Insect Show with Derbyshire & Nottingham Entomological Society

Derbyshire & Nottingham Entomological Society (DaNES) are holding their annual Insect Show. A popular annual event for anyone interested in insects.There will be a wide variety of stands both by individuals and organisations - live and preserved insects, photos, computer presentations, and other informative displays. There will also be hands-on study, demonstrations, books and entomological equipment for sale, plus a series of talks.

Our Pollinating the Peak team will be in attendance, so feel free to pay them a visit to learn more about bumblebees and our exciting new project.
