Nest in lawn

I have what I believe is a bumblebee nest in the lawn in the garden.
I first thought that the hole in the grass created by a mouse as my cat was trying to get its paw down the hole ( it was that big) but I noticed bees coming and going from the hole.
I had covered the hole with a stone but they have opened up another hole a little way from the first one, this I have covered but giving them room to get in and out, but it stops the cat trying to get at the hole.

I don’t know what type of bee they are and also will they cause me any problems .
Should I leave them alone or have them removed?
Any info would be great.
