A unique opportunity to join a successful and growing conservation charity!
Start date: as soon as possible.
As part of its new strategic plan, the Bumblebee Conservation Trust is looking to appoint an enthusiastic individual with experience of managing volunteers to take on the exciting new role of Volunteer Officer.
You will be an excellent communicator with proven experience of managing and motivating volunteers. You will be able to use your initiative and work with colleagues to support BBCT’s existing volunteers and train and recruit new volunteers across the UK. It would be highly advantageous if you have an understanding of bumblebee ecology and bee-friendly gardening, as well as good bumblebee identification skills.
This is a full-time, fixed term (1 year) position based at BBCT’s offices in Stirling.
The closing date is 5 p.m. Wednesday 08 April 2015.

“Bumblebees are one of the most endearing insect visitors to any garden. Their furry, colourful bodies and clumsy flight always raise a smile, but they also do an essential job. Without their pollination services many flowers would produce no seeds, and fruit and vegetable yields would suffer.”
