Get involved in your local area

From national shows to local country fetes, there are opportunities every day to tell people about the importance of bumblebees.

With your help we could have a presence at more of these events and reach a far wider audience with our important message. You don’t even need to wait for an organised event, you could contact a local shopping arcade or garden centre and set up a stand yourself.

If this appeals to you and you would be willing to man-a-stand for BBCT then we can provide you with materials to distribute and sell at these events. This also helps us to increase our membership and raise more funds for conservation projects across the UK.

If you would rather help out at an event being led by a member of the BBCT team or another volunteer then please visit our Current opportunities page or get in touch and we will let you know what is happening in your area.

“Bumblebees are one of the most endearing insect visitors to any garden. Their furry, colourful bodies and clumsy flight always raise a smile, but they also do an essential job. Without their pollination services many flowers would produce no seeds, and fruit and vegetable yields would suffer.”
