10 April
Talk on bumblebee ecology and behaviour
With RSPB and Bumblebee Conservation Trust
A workshop aimed at beginners that will give an introduction to these fascinating insects including their lifecycle, habitat requirements and what we can do to help them in our own gardens. It will also include a short guide to identification of the six most common species you are likely to see, and also some of the rarer species found in Wiltshire. We will then walk around the RSPB Winterbourne Down reserve to have a go at identifying bumblebees in the field.
Please bring a packed lunch and suitable clothing/footwear for walking on the reserve.
BOOKING REQUIRED. Free event but donations welcome.
Meet at the RSPB Winterbourne Downs Carpark, Newton Tony, nr Salisbury, Wiltshire, SP4 0HA
