Mugdock Country Park will be hosting an event to help beginners learn about bumblebees and how to identify the common species. There will be an illustrated talk, followed by a walk to spot bumblebees (weather permitting). The event will last from 2.30pm-4pm, and is suitable for children over 14, and adults. Attendance is free, but donations to Bumblebee Conservation Trust are welcome.

Join staff from Bumblebee Conservation Trust and Butterfly Conservation in this workshop to learn how to garden for bumblebees and butterflies. Both of these groups of insects are struggling, but gardeners can help them simply by providing the right conditions for them.
The day will also provide an introduction to the ecology and identification of these insects, along with guided walks around the gardens. It will take place at Sir Harold Hillier Gardens, Hampshire, and will last from 10.3am. the cost of the event is £25, which includes light refreshments and entry to the gardens. Please bring a picnic lunch.

Bumblebee Conservation Trust is running a wildflower seed collecting workshop in the grounds of Plean Country Park. The workshop is free and open to anyone with an interest in learning how to collect wildflower seeds and grow plants to help support bumblebees.
The course will take place on Saturday 21st September between 10am and 4pm. There will be some presentations at the nearby Balfour Centre in Plean in the morning, followed by lunch. In the afternoon we will collect some wildflower seeds in the country park.
