Our outreach team and volunteers are involved in events up and down the country, to help you find out more about our work.

We also recommend a number of other conservation-based exhibitions, activities and shows.

Blooms for Bees Events

Blooms for Bees is a partnership initiative, launching on the 20 June 2016 to promote bee-friendly gardening. The aim is to engage the public and explore which bumblebees visit their gardens and allotments and discover which flowers are bumblebee favourites.

Campaign for the Farmed Environment Events

Join our Bumblebee Conservation Trust volunteer Ron Rock, for a guided bumblebee walk at the Staffordshire Wildlife Trust Wolseley Centre. See different bumblebee species up close and learn about their life cycles, what flowers they feed on and how you can help these amazing creatures.  

The cost is £3 per adult (children go free) with the proceeds split between the Bumblebee Conservation Trust and Staffordshire Wildlife Trust. Please wear suitable outdoor clothing and footwear.

Join one of our Bumblebee Conservation Trust volunteers, Shona Menzies, on a short walk in the walled garden at Mugdock Country Park. See different species up close and find out about the many fascinating facts about bumblebees!

There will be an indoor display if the weather is unsuitable for the walk. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Donations are welcomed for the Bumblebee Conservation Trust.

This is a FREE event.

Join us on a bumblebee safari around Haddo House & Country Park Estate to explore and identify common bumblebees.

This event is suitable for everyone who wants to learn more about bumblebees, but we recommend children are 7 years of age or over. All children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.  Meet at the Pheasantry; we will then do a short walk around the estate to find some bees!

What’s Buzzing in Foundry Wood? Wild Bee Talk and Walk. 

From bumblebees to lesser known solitaries, our native wild bees are increasingly dependent on urban spaces for their survival. Come and discover what’s buzzing in Foundry Wood with Bumblebee Conservation Trust volunteer, Ron Rock.

Entry fee is £2.00 and the walk will begin at the entrance to the Woodland.

Join one of our volunteers, John Butler, for a guided walk around the National Trust’s Lytes Cary estate. We will catch and look at the different bumblebee species up close, learning how to identify each species, and try to find the rare Shrill carder bumblebee.

Meet at reception at Lytes Cary Manor ready to depart at 11am. For directions click here.
