Bumblebee safari at Lytes Cary Manor, Somerset

Join one of our volunteers, John Butler, on a bumblebee safari around National Trust’s Lytes Cary estate.

John will show you the different bumblebee species up close, how to identify each species, and provide interesting information on the bumblebee lifecycle.

Meet at reception at Lytes Cary Manor, Charlton Mackrell, Somerset, TA11 7HU at 2pm on Tuesday 22nd July. For directions click here.

The safari around the estate is free, but normal National Trust admission charges will apply to the house and gardens.

The event is suitable for adults and older children wearing appropriate outdoor clothing
and footwear. The safari will last about one hour.

Bumblebee safaris at Milton Creek Country Park, Kent

Discover the bumblebees that can be found at Milton Creek Country Park by going on a guided walk with the Bumblebee Conservation Trust. Staff from the Trust will be there to show you the different species up close, and tell you lots of amazing facts about bumblebees. The event is suitable for all ages, but children under 12 should be accompanied by an adult.

Bee walks in the Leicester Botanic Gardens

Join one of our Bee walking volunteers Maggie, as she guides you through the University of Leicester Botanic Gardens to discover the bumblebees there.

Maggie will let you know some fascinating information on the lifecycles and habits of bumblebees, and show you how to identify the species you come across.

Meet at the Knoll Entrance on Glebe Road, Oadby, Leicester. The event will run from 2pm-4pm on Sunday 3rd August.

Attendance is free, but booking is essential and limited to ten places. It is suitable for adults and older children.
