Bumblebee Identification Workshop - Teesdale, Co. Durham

Anthony McCluskey from the Bumblebee Conservation Trust will be leading a course in bumblebee identification at Teesdale, Co. Durham, on Friday 16th May. This course is aimed at people who wish to volunteer with the North Pennines AONB Partnership’s Nectarworks project to undertake bumblebee surveys in the gardens of interested members of the public during the bumblebee season. It will cover the ecology, lifecycle, anatomy and identification of the UK's commonest bumblebees, and demonstrate how to carry out bumblebee surveys.

This event is being organised through the Nectarworks project ran by the North Pennines AONB partnership. More information on precise location will be provided after booking. No special equipment is needed, but please bring appropriate footwear for going on walks. Lunch is provided.
