Biodiversity enhancement on non-operational land
Our Conservation Manager Gill Perkins will be speaking at this Nature After Minerals event looking at biodiversity enhancement on non-operational land.
Wednesday 2 July
Bayston Hill, Shropshire
Non-operational land and its management can play a key role in the overall biodiversity of a site. This can include land which is yet to be worked or the margins of on-going operations.
In the morning, we will consider the features which can be incorporated on such land and to what extent these benefit wildlife. We will then visit a site which provides a prime example of sound management of non-operational land, which has been the subject of many accolades.
