Burnets and Bees Mini-Festival

Butterfly Conservation Scotland and the Bumblebee Conservation Trust have joined forces to deliver a series of free events in September highlighting conservation for rare burnet moths and bumblebees on the island.
Burnets and bees have both declined in the last decades, but the West Coast of Scotland and the islands in particular are some of the best areas in the country to see a number of rare species.  Both bees and burnets are reliant upon areas where there is an abundance of wildflowers to thrive.

This mini-festival includes a series of events that will focus on how everyone can help make a difference to help keep areas alive with the fluttering and buzzing of these beautiful insects.  Click on More for full details of the events.
