While doing the events around the country, I have heard so many different names for bumblebees. These have included Mossy bees, Baker bees, and even Lady bees! Has anybody got any other names used local for bumblebees? Let us know here, and we can chat about them!

     

Another one coming from Scotland is the ‘Donner-bee’ (meaning ‘stupid’). That’s a bit harsh! I am inclined to agree sometimes though when I see them banging into flowers…
