I thought this was a Common carder queen, but not 100% sure now. Seemed much brighter than usual and a little larger.
Any ideas ?

A little more information on this bumblebee.

When photographed it was observed in my garden feeding on bugle and cirsium (thistle).
It caught my eye as it didn’t look like any B.pascuroum observed in the garden and was slightly more robust.

On the 18th May I observed a specimen of the same colouring nest searching in my garden. It went into a bumblebee nest box but rejected it unfortunately !

I am sure its probably a variation on Common carder but any help would be great.
