I live in a rather damp valley, prone to loads of slugs and snails.
I have a B. hypnorum colony in a nest box situated high up on a wall.
The colony has almost gone full cycle and has started to die out.
On several recent nights I’ve seen Slugs on the front of the box, moving towards the entrance hole.
They are pale brown slugs, which I think are Leopard Slugs, which are carnivorous.
The standard BB books make no mention of slugs being predators of BBs.
Has anybody else seen slugs trying to get into a nestbox ??
