I thought it worth mentioning that one of the early favourites for BBs this year was Clematis alpina which I believe is Francis Rivis. Blue outer petals with white inner petals. Several bees at any one time.

That picture does not show the inner white petals.

I had never seen this flower before, but it’s certainly very beautiful, and clearly provides some food for bumblebees. Perhaps it’ll make the Bee kind list next year….
